Challenges ASD

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Communication, behavior, and social engagement are all affected by this developmental condition. Children with ASD tend to have limited interests and enjoy repetitive actions and routines.
They tend to have restricted interests and repetitive actions.

Children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) may also have difficulties at home, such as:
– Irregular sleep patterns
– Agitation
– Conflict with family

Children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) have low muscle tone which can result in:
– Trouble walking
– Bad posture
– Becoming easily fatigued
– Difficulty chewing

A majority of symptoms associated with ASD are due to elevated stress levels.

Two reflexes that we like to address when treating clients with ASD are bonding and ATNR (Asymmetric Tonic Neck Reflex).

Bonding is important for clients with ASD as they are able to be more grounded and feel their body better. Bonding also helps reduce the need for sensory seeking behavior.

ATNR (Asymmetric Tonic Neck Reflex) is a key player in the learning process. It has been linked to the development of a variety of cognitive processes, including auditory, auditory-visual, spatial and space–time orientation, and auditory perception–memory embedding or patterning. It is also important for clients with ASD as it helps with processing language, attention, and promoting being more present.

In this case we use a combination of:

– Reflex Integration to address the Non Integrated reflexes
– Hemispheric Integration to address the right hemisphere deficit
– Speech therapy for communication challenges

In addition to other cutting-edge techniques to get the best results.
